The opportunity to visit this lovely place, Richard Arkwright’s former home, in Cromford was kindly offered to me by the Bracken bandits. It was a lovely sunny day, and although the shot of Cromford Hill from the grounds looks rather bleak, the woodland primrose offers more hope of Spring.
It’s a tranquil place, and the grounds are extensive but sadly in need of a lot of TLC. I suspect in another six weeks it will be bursting with life and greenery.
