My good mate Toohie has been racing around the kitchen in recent weeks like a hamster on a turbo wheel, whipping up a storm with pickles, cakes, in fact nearly anything edible you can think of. I’ve felt very shabby by comparison, but encouraged by the success of my charity cake, I decided my fancy was for a cheese scone for tea on Sunday. Just a plain recipe, I won’t even insult you by blogging it here. A small pinch of cayenne pepper my only fancy extra for a bit of zing (and this time I did keep to just a pinch!)
Warm with a nice cup of tea, vey nice indeed. And here they are on my special Birthday china! LOL (normally guzzle tea out of a huge mug!)
